Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Sargodha was established in 1968 after splitting BISE Lahore which was the only board for Punjab till then. The purpose of Sargodha Board was to conduct SSC and HSSC exams in the central region of Punjab but now the responsibility of BISE Sargodha is confined to western areas of Punjab while Sargodha Board organizes matric and intermediate exams in the districts of Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab and Bhakkar. Every year, thousands of regular and private candidates appear in the SSC part 1 & 2 and HSSC part 1 & 2 exams under BISE Sargodha while all the public and private schools and colleges in the above mentioned districts are affiliated with Sargodha Board.
Usually, schools and colleges affiliated with BISE Sargodha starts registration and examination process for new students of matric and intermediate classes two or three months before the start of the exams while new academic session of SSC and HSSC classes begin in April and September respectively.
Matric and intermediate class students of Sargodha Board should use model papers and past papers to get good marks in the exams. Model papers contain the latest paper pattern and examination syllabus adopted by the board while these model papers are published by the board and available from board’s site. On the other hand, past pattern inform about the important questions which are expected to come in the exams while the students can purchase them from market.
BISE Sargodha conducts annual exams of 9th and 10th class in March and April and 11th and 12th class exams are held in May and June. Around two months before the start of the exams, Sargodha Board uploads the date sheet of the exams at its official website which provides complete schedule of the exams. Along with that, the roll number slips of the students are dispatched by the board to the mentioned addresses of the students about one month prior to the exams.
Sargodha Board declares the results of SSC and HSSC annual exams after two or three months of the exams. Matric and intermediate level exams end in April and June and their results are declared by the board according to schedule. The students can view the results on the day of result declaration at the official site of the board while they can receive their result cards at their mentioned addresses few days after the results.
